Promotion of Shahrukh Khan's next Raees turned tragic after a person died and another left critically injured during heavy rush leading to a near-stampede at the Vadodara railway station.
People in large numbers thronged the station to catch a glimpse of the superstar who arrived on board the August Kranti Express on Monday to promote his upcoming film Raees.
Farid Khan Sherani, along with his wife had arrived at the railway platform. However, shortly after the train left, the crowds rushed towards the exit, in which several persons, including Sherani, collapsed. Sherani and one other man were rushed to nearby hospitals, while other suffocated people were helped by police personnel and passersby.
However, the actor did not step down from the train, choosing to wave at the crowds and urged them to watch the film on a loudspeaker.[Courtesy ::DY365 ]
