
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday suffered an electric shock during his roadshow in Agra. He got an electric shock when he was trying to put a garland around the statue of Maharaja Agrasen at Fawarra Chowk. He was accompanied by senior party leader Raj Babbar at that time.
According to onlookers, a wire hanging low near Gandhi touched his head during the programme.Gandhi began his roadshow and "Kisan Maha Yatra" after offering prayers at the Dwarkadheesh temple of Lord Krishna in Mathura today.
The Congress leader will address a public rally at Etmadpur in Firozabad and hold a "khaat sabha" in Tundla, the native place of Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar.
He will spend the night at the Public Works Department guest house in Firozabad.
The October 2 programme of the Gandhi scion in Farukkhabad has been shelved as a local event -- Ram Baraat -- is held that day.
