A Pune girl was raped on the pretext of job and later, thrown into a 100-feet gorge in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh.The girl has however, been rescued by the police.
Reportedly, the passersby, on hearing the screams of the woman from a gorge near Songarh Fort informed the police.
The police personnel arrived at the scene and rescued the woman and rushed her to Dhar hospital in a semi-conscious state.
After gaining consciousness, the woman told the police that she hailed from Pune in Maharashtra. She had met one Shahid Khatri on Facebook who soon befriended her. Later Shahid asked her to come down to Indore promising her job.
The woman reached Indore on Tuesday night. Shahid arranged her stay but late night raped her after making her unconscious with some sedative. In the morning, Shahid told her that they need to go to Mandu in Dhar for the job.
On reaching Mandu, Shahid suddenly attacked her with stone and pushed her into the gorge.
Mandu TI Hare Singh Rawat said that the woman has a severely damaged jaw so she was not able to speak properly. As her condition improves, she would be asked to share details about Shahid, the police officer said. The police however registered a case against the said man.[Source::IBN7]
