NZ SERIES MUST GO ON: JUSTICE LODHA SAYS DIDN'T ASK BCCI TO STOP PAYMENTS FOR ROUTINE MATTERS

Amidst reports that the ongoing India-New Zealand series may be called off after the Justice Lodha Committee directed banks to freeze accounts of the Board Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Justice Lodha on Tuesday clarified that the Committee had not asked BCCI to stop funds for routine matters.
According to a NDTV report, Justice Lodha said, "The series must go on."
"It is clearly stated in the mail that we have told them to stop disbursing large funds to state associations. We have not told them to stop payments on routine matters. If anyone says something I can't stop it. We have not ordered them to stop distributing funds on routine matters. Conducting a series is a routine matter," he clarified. The Lodha Panel's directive had come on Monday following the board's special general meeting that was held on 30 September.[Source::Dy365]
