Akhil Gogoi remanded to 14 days judicial custody, taken to Nagaon jail

KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi was on Tuesday sent to 14 days judicial custody by the Kaliabor sub-division judicial magistrate court for allegedly instigating public during an eviction drive in Kaziranga on September leading to the death of two protesters during police firing. The KMSS leader was sent to the Nagaon Jail. The court’s decision came in connection with three cases filed against Akhil at the Jakhalabandha police station. Earlier, the court on Monday had sent Akhil to one day police custody.
