Four Muslim men were killed and several injured after communal clashes broke out in Bijnor, Uttar
Pradesh, on Friday. According to media report, the clashes broke out after some Muslim youth allegedly tried to molest some school going Hindu girls.Four Muslim youths killed in communal clashes sparked by molestation bid on Hindu girls The report states that the girls were on their way to school around 8 am when a few Muslim men stopped them. As the men started molesting the girls, some villagers and family members of the girls reached the spot. The villagers and the relatives had a heated conversation with the alleged molesters which led to stone pelting. As the news spread, other people from both the communities joined which resulted in gun firing, during which 4 men were killed. Dozens of people were injured in the incident as the situation continued for an hour.
An Indian Express report states that a man named Sansar Singh started firing after which others joined.Meanwhile, police force from five nearby stations have been called to get the situation under control.
Media reports state that six persons have been taken into custody in connection with the incident. [Source::News 18]
