But to make him president now would be to add fuel to rumours that sonia is seriously ill . So the party is waiting for her to recover and begin her meetings.
In Rahul's camp, nervousness is clearly building. "They need to settle it soon. The problem is, he is coming across as a reluctant prince, who is forever in waiting. How long can we wait ? Hope soniaji is back in action soon," a member of his campaign team summed up.
