One person was injured in firing by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans after he refused to stop at a police checking point at Lakshmi Nagar in Sivasagar district on Monday.The incident occurred when two motorcycle borne persons tried to evade police checking and was fired upon suspecting them to be militants. The injured person has been identified as Dhrubajyoti Bharali of Barhoiting and has been admitted to the Sivasagar civil hospital. Security forces have stepped up the vigil around the state aftermath the ambushing of Assam Rifles jawans at Jagun in Tinsukia district bordering Arunachal Pradesh.[Courtest :: DY365]
