Crime against women in the state has gone unabated, as another case of gang rape in Kokrajhar has surfaced up. Amidst the puja festivities a Class 12 student was drugged and raped by seven men. The victim has identified two of the miscreants. The duo identified as Prasenjit Rai and Prashanta Rai on the pretext of enjoying puja festivities took the victim to an unidentified location and raped her after forcibly drugging her. The miscreants thereafter threw the victim out of a moving car at Putiya gaon in Salakati. On the other hand the victim was admitted to the Kokrjhar civil hospital in a critical condition after she poisoned herself. Meanwhile, the kin of the victim has filed a case with the Salakati police. Meanwhile the police have intensified man hunt to nab those behind the heinous incident.[Source::Dy365]
