Hundreds of students and locales took out a silent protest rally in Nagaon on Friday in protest against the brutal murder of Nagaon Girls College student Shilpa Dey. The protesters handed over a memorandum to Nagaon Superintendent of Police demanding stern punishment against the attacker Rongbong Saikia. The alleged jilted lover had stabbed the victim in broad daylight at Laokhowa Road in Nandanpur on Thursday along with her sister. The victim’s sister was also attacked.
