Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Krishna Raj mret Chief Minister Sonowal today. They discussed issues concerning women and child welfare. Sonowal informed the hon'ble minister that Assam Government has accorded top priority to the welfare of women and children and henceforth bifurcated Social Welfare Department into Women and Child Welfare Directorate and Social Empowerment Directorate. The hon'ble minister informed CM that Assam is among the top priority states of her Ministry and assured all possible support to stimulate development for women and children.
