CM had a meaningful meeting with Brigadier IM Lamba, Deputy Director General (Recruiting), Indian Army and Colonel Pradeep Choubey, Director (Recruiting, Lower Assam). CM urged/requested them to initiate steps in right earnest for maximum recruitment of candidates from Assam in the Recruitment Rallies to be organised by the Indian Army for the year 2016-17.
CM also told them that the whole process ranging from physical test to written exam must be made hassle-free and smooth so that maximum number of candidates from Assam gets selected and there is no vacancy left.
Assuring CM his fullest cooperation and support, Brigadier Lamba requested me for appointing a Nodal Officer to liaise with the Army for the smooth conduct of the recruitment process. CM assured the Army officials to do the needful in this regard.
The Army officials further pleaded for placing of 20 to 30 PT teachers for 10-day training course to be conducted by the Army so that they can train up the candidates accordingly. CM conveyed to them that we fully understand the need for special coaching for those appearing in the written exam and assured them State Government's full support and cooperation towards this end.
